TRAIN Subscription Information

TRAIN depends on subscriptions to provide a substantial portion of its funding.

Subscribing to TRAIN

There are two available versions of TRAIN.

You can subscribe to TRAIN-Internet:
The TRAIN-Internet subscription structure is based upon a purchase of a "block" of searches. We are pleased with this structure because it allows small organizations as well as large to access TRAIN at a cost-per-search. (A "search" is executed when a user clicks on "Begin Search" in any of the four areas of information in TRAIN-Internet.)

Blocks of searches are priced as follows:

Every subscriber will receive a site-id and password. (The site id and password are stored on the PC from where TRAIN is accessed, so it is not necessary to re-enter them.) If you have multiple sites, and want to share a single block among those sites, we can assign a unique site-id for each site, and divide whatever block you purchase as needed.

You can subscribe to TRAIN-DOS:
A year's subscription to TRAIN-DOS costs: $250 for installation on any number of stand-alone PCs, or on a network server.

Subscribers receive the following:

initial installation diskettes for TRAIN-DOS
a training tutorial and technical assistance as required for TRAIN-DOS
